Qwen Studio is “an AI assistant for everyone, powered by the Qwen series models.” The product page calls it Qwen Studio, while the chat page itself may show only “Qwen” — the same tool under a shorter name. The company says it is free to use, and it runs on web, phone, tablet, Mac, and Windows.

  1. Open your browser and go to chat.qwen.ai, or download the Mac or Windows app from the company's download page.
  2. Sign in with the option shown on screen.
  3. Find the message box near the bottom of the conversation window.
  4. Type one small request and send it. The desktop app can also discuss files and screenshots.
  5. Ask again for simpler wording whenever you need to.
  6. Open the App Store and search for “Qwen.” Choose the official Alibaba listing, or reach it from the company's download page.

These five habits do not change when the tool changes. They are the part of this guidebook worth keeping after the buttons have been renamed.

  1. Pause. Stop before you act on an answer. Nothing an AI tool says needs to be used in the next minute.
  2. Ask. Ask again in your own words. “Please make that simpler.” “Use a real-life example.” “Give me only three steps.”
  3. Check. Check anything that affects money, health, legal matters, or safety with an official source or a trusted person.
  4. Protect. Protect private details. No Social Security number, bank or card numbers, full medical records, or passwords.
  5. Talk. Talk it over with someone you trust before a decision that costs money or changes your care.
